Welcome.  Like many others, this blog chronicles my experience as a Second language educator in South Korea.  However, this is not my journal.  This blog exists to talk out many different topics, mostly within the subject of Second Langauge Education and Acquistion.  This includes Lesson plans, classroom management, Methodology, Approaches, Theory and plain old simple heart-to-hearts about teaching.  It is a chance to express what it means to teach.

You may, if you spend a little time here, notice a large gap between posts. Recently (2017), I finished a Master’s degree at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. I did a lot of thinking, writing and talking about language teaching in the time since I stopped updating this blog. I’m ready to start sharing those ideas here.

  1. Hello. I hope you’re enjoying your experience in Korea. Korea was actually the first country that I traveled to and taught in abroad. I think your blog will be really helpful for those teaching in or contemplating teaching there. Last year during my travels and time teaching ESL abroad, I began a video project with some of my students called Classroom Chit Chat. If you’re interested, I invite you to check it out (www.classroomchitchat.wordpress.com) and see if it’s something that you’d be interested in having your students participate in. Enjoy Korea!
